Is it possible that Sailfish & Marital Bliss is really a “thing?” Why not? To illustrate the point, The Valentine recently hosted two newlyweds from Orlando and introduced them to the glories of Stuart, Florida off-shore fishing.
As an FYI to a few of our readers, this is Sailfish season in South Florida. The fishing grounds around our home port of Stuart are considered to be some of the finest in the world. A testimony to that is the numerous tournaments held locally this time of year.
Our recent guest anglers were Miranda and Nick who were on their first serious off-shore trip. As luck would have it, conditions were excellent with winds out of the ESE at about 10-15 miles per hour. We spent most of our time in about 120 feet of blue-green water southeast of Stuart.
Both of the young newlyweds caught and released their first sail. Miranda ended up with a total of three, while Nick had two for his day’s work. In other words, a fine trip for pro and amateur alike.
That is our report. Come on down and fish!
